(ORAL) The present criminal writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus by directing respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents. The learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the petitioners have married against the wishes of respondents No.4 to 6 and they claim themselves to be major and seek protection to their life and liberty. They apprehend danger from respondents No.4 to 6. They have placed on record marriage certificate (Annexure P-3) to substantiate their claim. The petitioners have also submitted a representation dated 02.04.2025 (Annexure P-5) to respondent No.2 but no action has been taken so far. Notice of motion to official respondents only.
