The order in contempt passed by a co-ordinate Bench on June 27, 2014, compliance whereof is still awaited. The contemnors have filed a compliance report dated March 3, 2025, an exception regarding the said compliance report has also been filed by the petitioners on April 2, 2025. 2. Both the compliance and the exception are taken on record. 3. Mr. Bihani, learned senior advocate, appearing for the alleged contemnors assures that steps will be taken to ensure compliance of the order at the earliest available opportunity. 2 4. Mr. Banerjee, learned advocate does not oppose the time sought for by Mr. Bihani, learned senior advocate. In Re: CPAN 868 of 2018 in WPA 18302 of 2014 5. The order in contempt of June 27, 2024 has been pending implementation since. On account thereof, the instant petition under the contempt of Court Act, 1971 was initiated in September, 2018. It seems that the alleged contemnors 2 and 3 have never been served. 6. Mr. Bihani, learned senior advocate appears for the respondent No. 1. 7. The petitioners are directed to serve the alleged contemnor Nos. 2 and 3 by the next date of hearing. 8. The contemnor No. 1 is directed to file a compliance report within a period of four weeks from date. In Re: CPAN 2142 of 2014 in WPA 10470 of 2014 9. Mr. Bihani, learned senior advocate appearing for the contemnor No. 1 files a supplementary compliance report dated March 26, 2025, which is taken on record, showing that payments due to the employees of the three colleges have already been made. 10. Mr. Banerjee, learned advocate states that he does not have the requisite instruction from his clients and hence seeks an adjournment for the day. 11.
