2. The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayers:
“i. That the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to Issue a writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ,
order, or direction commanding the respondent authorities, particularly the Station House Officer, Police Station Civil Lines, District Bilaspur (C.G.), to immediately complete the investigation and file the charge sheet / final report in FIR No. 553/2024 dated 20.06.2024, registered under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, before the competent court of law.” ii. Any other relief, which this Hon’ble court deems, fit in the facts and circumstances may also be granted in favor of the petitioner.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though of the basis of a complaint case filed by the petitioner under Section 156(3) of the CrPC, the FIR was lodged way back on 20.06.2024 against the accused persons, namely, Mr. Trishul Soman, and Mr. Adarsh Abhishek in Police Station – Civil Lines, Bilaspur, District – Bilaspur (C.G.) and even after lapse of more than 01 year and 03 months, no action is being taken by the respondent No.5 against the accused persons and also not filed charge-sheet before the concerned Court, therefore, a direction be issued to expedite the investigation and submit the police report.
4. Learned State counsel submits that investigation in the present case is under progress and the same would be completed shortly.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, particularly the fact that the FIR was lodged way back on 20.06.2024 and more
3 than 01 year and 03 months have been elapsed, the concerned Investigating Officer is directed to conclude the investigation within a period of eight weeks from today and submit a Police Report under Section 193(3) of BNSS before the Competent Court in accordance with law and the concerned Superintendent of Police / Senior Superintendent of Police, is directed to ensure that the investigation in the present case is carried out in a fair manner.
6. Petitioner is directed to furnish a copy of this order to the concerned Superintendent of Police / Senior Superintendent of Police within a period of one week from today for necessary information and compliance.
