The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 30/31.10.2006 whereby he was ordered to be reverted from the rank of Inspector to Sub- Inspector. 2. By order dated 17.11.2006, notice of motion was issued by a Division Bench of this Court. It was further ordered that in the meantime, status quo with regard to posting and status of the petitioner be maintained. 3. Learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner was further promoted to the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police. 4. The petitioner was granted interim protection by order dated 17.11.2006 of this Court.
