1. By way of the instant petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction towards the respondent authorities to decide the application ASHUTOSH MISHRA Digitally signed by ASHUTOSH MISHRA Date: 2025.09.25 19:40:14 +0530
2 / 3 preferred by the petitioner under Section 89 of the C.G. Land Revenue Code, 1959 for correction of the revenue records as the said application is pending for the last more than 03 years.

Learned counsel for the petitioners would contend that the petitioners have filed an application under Section 89 of the Code, 1959 before the Sub Divisional Officer (Revenue), Korba wherein the objections were invited, a committee was constituted to submit the report and after the submission of the report, the SDO has taken the cognizance on the said report and again called for the record. Thereafter, on 15/04/2025 the matter was dismissed for default and on 21/04/2025 it was restored. Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that now the matter is still pending, therefore, it is prayed that the concerned authority may be directed to decide the pending application of the petitioner.
3. Learned State counsel submits that they have no objection in deciding the application of the petitioner.
4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents with utmost circumspection.

Considering the entire facts & circumstances of the case, this Court of the considered opinion that instead of keeping this petition pending it is disposed of with a direction to the Respondent No.4 to decide the proceedings bearing No.202208050100057/A-5/2021-22 expeditiously as soon as possible preferably within a period of six
3 / 3 months from the date of production of the copy of this order. It is ordered accordingly.
6. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and the respondent authorities shall be at liberty to decide the case of the petitioner on its own merits.
7. With the aforesaid observation, the instant writ petition stands
