********** Advocate for Petitioner: Mr. P Sree Ramulu Naidu Advocate(s) for Respondent(s): Mrs.Tata Venkata Sridevi,Standing Counsel for Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences
CORAM : THE CHIEF JUSTICE DHIRAJ SINGH THAKUR SRI JUSTICE CHALLA GUNARANJAN DATE : 31th December 2025 P C : We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner. The petitioner seeks consideration for admission in the special stray vacancy round for filling unfilled seats in the convener quota. According to learned counsel for the respondent – University, the petitioner is not eligible in terms of the guidelines issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), which specifically envisage that those candidates who are holding a seat in the earlier rounds, would be ineligible.
2 HCJ & CGR, J W.P. No: 36792 of 2025
It is not denied that the petitioner has already secured admission in the Management quota in the stray vacancy round. The MCC guidelines, which have statutory force in nature, are not under challenge. In that view of the matter, we find no merit in the present writ petition, which is accordingly dismissed. No costs.
Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.
