The grievance of the petitioners is that respondent No. 2- Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur has not taken any action on the basis of communication No. CHQ/FIR/16/11/22-23 dated 08.07.2016 addressed by Inspector General of Police, State Crime Branch, Headquarters, J&K, Srinagar to the Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur. 2. It has been submitted that as per the said communication, an advisory has been issued by the Crime Branch to Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur to make necessary corrections in the revenue records so that genuine grievance of the petitioners herein is addressed and appropriate action is taken against the culprits who have tampered the revenue record. The allegation of the petitioners is that tampering of revenue record in respect of land measuring 41 kanals 19 marlas comprised in Khasra Nos. 519, 520, 521, 531, 532, 538, 539 & 551 situated at village Mansar, Tehsil Udhampur has taken place. Sr. No. 137 2 WP(C) No. 2338/2025 3. Having regard to the nature of relief that is being sought by the petitioners, the instant petition can be disposed of by extending appropriate directions to respondent No. 2-Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur. 4. The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to respondent No 2-Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur to take appropriate action in accordance with law in the light of the communication (supra) of IGP, State Crime Branch, Headquarters, J&K, Srinagar. 5. Needful shall be done most expeditiously preferably within a period of six months from the date, a copy of this order is made available to respondent No. 2-Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur. 6.
