1. This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of the India seeking the following reiiefs -

admeasuring Ac.0.74 cents in Sy! No. 140/8 of Melupatia Revenue Village, Punganur Mandal, Chittoor District. The property originally belonged to the Petitioner's late fkher-in-law, who acquired it in 1936 under a registered sale deed, followed by a partition in 1950, after which the Petitioner's husband acquired the said extent. The land has been in peaceful possession of the Petitioner’s family for several decades, with proper title documents including pattadar passbooks, title deeds, and e- passbooks issued by the revenue authorities. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that despite the Petitioner having valid title and possession, the 4*^ Respondeht/Joint Collector-cum-Settlement Officer passed an
order dated 16.02.2019 against the Petitioner in SR No.1/11(a)/2013, which was challenged by the Petitioner through a Revision Petition dated 20.08.2019 before the 2^^^ Respondent/District Collector. A Suspension Petition was also filed in 2019 seeking interim relief. However, the 2nd Respondent has failed to dispose of either petition for over five years, despite issuing a notice dated 10.02.2025 fixing the matter for hearing on .25 02.2025, and has continued to adjourn the matter without reasoned orders. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
3. The learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents submits that the respondent authority will consider the revision petition filed by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within a reasonable time.
4. Heard the
learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents.
5. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents and on perusal of the material placed record, this Court is of the considered opinion that the present Writ Petition can be disposed of by directing the respondent authorities to dispose of the revision petition in accordariee with law, within a period of four (04) months from the date of receipt of copy of this Order. on
6. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel miscellaneous application, pending, if any, shall also stand closed.
