The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not releasing financial assistance sanctioned to the Petitioner No.2 for studying abroad under “Videshi Vidya Deevana Scheme” for the academic year 2023-24, as illegal and arbitrary. 2. Petitioner No.2 had applied for financial assistance under “Videshi Vidya Deevana Scheme” for studying abroad for the academic year 2023-24 and the same was allotted with Application No.2023000052. After due verification, Respondent No.4 sanctioned financial assistance in favour of Petitioner No.2 for pursuing Master’s in Construction Management Course at the NYU Tandon School of Engineering etc., Though, Petitioner No.2 had completed his Master’s Course, the financial assistance as promised to Petitioner No.2 was not disbursed to him. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Respondent No.4- Corporation submits that the application of Petitioner No.2 would be considered and the amounts would be sanctioned, if Petitioner No.2 is within the conditions specified, for release of the amounts. 4 4. Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with the following directions:- (i) The Respondents are directed to examine the claim of Petitioner No.2 within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order; (ii) In the event, the claim of Petitioner No.2 is held to be in order, the Respondents are directed to release the amounts to Petitioner No.2 within a further period of eight (08) weeks; (iii) There shall be no order as to costs. 5.
