Learned counsel for the revision petitioner submits that the petitioner/husband is drawing a salary of Rs.27,700/-per month and he is working as Junior Assistant in Registration Department at Nagercoil and the trial Court has erroneously come to the conclusion that since the petitioner is drawing salary of Rs.31,853/-, without considering the EMI deductions and also has not taken note of the fact that the revision petitioner has to look after his parents, has awarded a sum of Rs.10,000/- which is exorbitant and prayed to set aside the order. 3. Learned counsel for the respondent/wife submits that the respondent/wife has no source of income and on the other hand, the revision petitioner/husband owns immovable property in his native place and the trial Court has rightly directed the revision petitioner to pay a sum of Rs.10,000/- per month as interim maintenance which does not warrant any interference. 2/4 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRP No.4189 of 2025 4. I have heard the submissions of the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record. 5. The fact is that the revision petitioner/husband is working as Junior Assistant in the Registration Office and according to the trial court finding, the petitioner is drawing a salary of Rs.31,853/-per month, though his take home salary is Rs.21,000/- and as on date, the respondent/wife has no source of income. Considering the cost of living, the amount of Rs.10,000/-awarded by the trial court is just and reasonable which does not warrant interference. 6. Accordingly, the civil revision petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
