The present writ petition has been filed for order/direction upon the Branch Manager, Gopalpur Branch, Ghatshila for making interest on the awarded amount to the petitioners. 3. The counter affidavit filed by the respondent No.3 (Bank of India) is, hereby, accepted. 4. Office is directed to keep it on record. 5. The relevant paragraph Nos.6 & 7 of the counter affidavit dated 10.09.2025 is quoted hereinbelow:- 6. That it is submitted that the amount of compensation awarded by the Land acquisition officer has already been paid amounting Rs. 28,49,581/- but interest part amounting Rs. 87,149.21/- till date pending before the Bank. 7. That it is submitted that Bank will disburse the interest part within two weeks to the petitioners. 6. In that view of the matter, the present writ petition has become infructuous. 7.
