Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and Shri G.P. Singh, learned AGA-1 for the State respondents. 2. The instant writ petition has been preferred for quashing the impugned order dated 3.2.2025 passed by the District Magistrate, Mau in Case No.2372 of 2022 (State v. Jamil Ahmad) and Case No.2373 of 2022 (State v. Julfekar Ahmad) under Section 3 (1) of U.P. Control of Goonda Act, P.S. Gosi, Distt. Mau. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that against the orders impugned the petitioners have already preferred statutory appeal along with stay application but inspite of sufficient time neither the appeal has been decided nor any order has been passed on stay application. It is stated that the petitioners are innocent and in case no indulgence is accorded, the petitioners would suffer irreparable loss and injury. 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on merits of the issue, the writ petition stands disposed of asking the appellate authority to decide the stay applications of the petitioners in accordance with law expeditiously and preferably within ten days from the date of production of certified copy of this order, without according even a single adjournment to the parties and shall also make an endeavour to decide the appeals expeditiously.
