11.04.2025 Item No. 1 Samarpita Ct. No. 40 IN THE HIGH COURT AT CALCUTTA Criminal Revisional Jurisdiction Appellate Side CRR 4331 of 2024 In the matter of : Sri Anand Narayan Singh …. Petitioner Mr. Neil Basu, Mr. Sankha Biswas …for the Petitioner Mr. Kallol Mondal, Ld. Sr. Adv., Mr. Krishan Ray, Mr. Souvik Ds, Mr. Anamitr Banerjee, Mr. Akbar Laskar … for the Opposite Party no.2 Mrs. Sreyashee Biswas, Ld. Sr. Govt. Pleader, Mr. Shashanka Shekhar Saha …for the State of W.B. The Order sheet dated 18.3.2025 shows discrepancies between the dictated Order and the typed Order. The Order dated 18.3.2025, stands modified as follow: The instant application is filed praying for necessary directions of expeditious disposal of trial, in connection with Howrah Police Station Case No. 173 of 2022 under Sections 417/467/468/471/120B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, in connection with G.R. No.1998 of 2022, pending before the Court of the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Howrah. Heard the learned Counsels for the parties. The instant application is disposed of, since the prayer is innocuous, with direction to the Trial Court to expedite the hearing and consideration of charge, and trial of the suit. It is made clear that in case the application for quashing of the instant prosecution succeeds, that order would override the instant order. Accordingly, the instant criminal revision application being CRR 4331 of 2024 stands disposed of. Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for , shall be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all necessary formalities. (Sugato Majumdar, J.)
