2. The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioners with the following prayer:
“It is therefore prayed, that this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to allow this petition and quash the impugned first information report bearing crime no.891/2024 registered at Police Station-City Kotwali, Balodabazar, District-Balodabazar, Bhatapara (C.G.), for the offences punishable under Section 353(1) (b) and 353(2) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023 may kindly be quashed, in the interest of justice.”
3. As per office report, notice has been served to respondent No.2, but none appears on behalf of the respondent No.2 either in person or through duly appointed counsel to contest the matter when the case is called out for hearing.
4. On query being made about the status of the investigation, the learned State counsel submits that the investigation is still pending.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already been granted anticipatory bail.
6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and from perusal of the impugned FIR, it is apparent that the FIR has been lodged on 30.11.2024 and the petitioner has already been enlarged on anticipatory bail as well as the fact that the investigation is in progress,
3 we direct the concerned Superintendent of Police / Senior Superintendent of Police to ensure that the investigation of the present case be concluded expeditiously preferably within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, if already not concluded and submit a Police Report under Section 173(2) of the Cr.P.C. (now under Section 193(3) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023) before the competent Court in accordance with law. However, the petitioner is at liberty to take recourse to law, if any future cause of action arises.
7. Learned State counsel is directed to furnish a copy of this order to the concerned Superintendent of Police / Senior Superintendent of Police for necessary information and compliance forthwith.
