SURIN GEORGE IPE,STANDING COUNSEL THIS WRIT PETITION (CIVIL) HAVING BEEN FINALLY HEARD ON 01.04.2025, THE COURT ON THE SAME DAY DELIVERED THE FOLLOWING: 2025:KER:27720 WP(C) NO.9601 of 2025 3 JUDGMENT Dated this the 1st day of April, 2025 The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, who has pursued her B.A. (Economics Model I) Examination, seeking to direct the 1st respondent to forthwith issue original Degree Certificate of the petitioner without insisting on the production of the lost supplementary marklist of the English subject from the year 2004. 2. The Standing Counsel for the 1st respondent filed a statement dated 01.04.2025, wherein it has been stated that Degree Certificate cannot be issued on remittance of requisite fee. Those who apply for Degree Certificate have to produce self attested copies of marklist. Since the petitioner has not produced evidence / Register Number of her having passed Part-I English, Degree Certificate cannot be issued. The 2025:KER:27720 WP(C) NO.9601 of 2025 4 petitioner has not even registered for Part-I English in any of the Supplementary Examinations in 2004, as per University records. Therefore, she has not been issued a marklist of the same. In view of the afore specific stand taken by the 1st respondent, the writ petition is found to be without merit. The writ petition is accordingly dismissed.
