The present contempt application has been filed pleading willful disobedience of the order dated 21.8.2017 passed by this Court in Writ-C No. 37357 of 2017, whereby this Court had directed the parties to maintain status quo with regard to the nature and possession over the land in dispute. It has been stated in the affidavit filed in support of the contempt application that after the order dated 21.8.2017, the opposite parties have raised construction over the disputed land. Photographs have been annexed with the affidavit in support of the contention that the opposite parties have raised construction over the disputed land. The photographs annexed with the affidavit show that certain temporary constructions have been made over the land in dispute. The aforesaid does not violate the order dated 21.8.2017 as the order only directed the parties to maintain status quo regarding 'nature and possession' of the land. Raising temporary construction over the disputed land as stated by the counsel for the applicant, does not disturb the status quo. The contempt application is dismissed. Notices are discharged.
