GP FOR REVENUE The Court made the following: 3 ORDER: The present Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the following relief/s: “to issue a direction or order, more particularly one in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS declaring the highhanded action of the 3rd Respondent in not considering the petitioners representation dated 10.10.2025 (received by them on 13.10.2023), seeking permission for digging a new borewell on urgent basis in agricultural land situated in Sy.No. 248-1 an extent of 1.18 cents Sy.No.235-9 an extent of 2.68 cents as old borewell situated in petitioner’s agricultural land is not drawing any water for irrigation of my crops as contrary to law arbitrary unjust discriminatory illegal and violative of Article 14 Article 21 Article 300A of the Constitution of India and Consequently direct the Respondent no 3 to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 10.10.2025 received by them on 13.10.2025 seeking permission for digging a new borewell on urgent basis in agricultural land situated in Sy.No.248-1 an extent of 1.18 cents, Sy.No. 235-9 an extent of 2.68 cents and to pass such other order or orders….. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the issue in the present Writ Petition is squarely covered by the order dated 24.07.2023 of this Court in W.P. No.8177 of 2023 and requested this Court to pass similar order. 4 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would submit that the Deputy Director, Ground Water Department, Anantapuramu, is the concerned authority to grant permission to dig borewell and the petitioner has filed application to the Tahsildar, which is not permissible. 4. Under the similar circumstances, this Court directed the respondents in the order dated 24.07.2023 in W.P. No.18177 of 2023 to take necessary action on the petitioner’s application strictly in accordance with A.P. Water, Land and Trees Act, 2002. 5. Therefore, this Court is inclined to dispose of the present Writ Petition directing the Tahsildar-3rd respondent to address the representation dated 10.10.2025 as expeditiously as possible not later than three weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of the order in accordance with A.P. Water, land and Trees Act, 2002. 6. With the above said direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
