Jyotsna Rewal Dua, J. Following order was passed in the matter on 14.07.2026: - “Petitioner’s grievance pertains to non-release of payments due to him for the work allegedly completed by him. At this stage, learned Assistant Advocate General has placed on record office instructions dated 13.07.2026. The aforesaid office instructions give the impression that the respondents do not dispute their financial liability due towards the petitioner. Given this, the matter is adjourned by two weeks by way of final opportunity to enable the respondents to release the admissible 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 claim of the petitioner, failing which, the respondents shall remain present in the Court on the next date. List on 12.08.2026. Reply, if any, be also filed in the meanwhile.” Pursuant to the above, learned Additional Advocate General has placed on record office instructions dated 10.08.2026 received from the Executive Engineer, Sundernagar Division, HPPWD, Sundernagar, conveying that the entire payment due to the petitioner has been released and credited to his bank account. No amount remains pending for payment. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner acknowledges the above position, but raises a grievance that interest on account of delayed payment is also liable to be paid to the petitioner. 3. Since the respondents have released the admitted payment to the petitioner, the present petition stands disposed of. It is for the petitioner to seek an appropriate remedy for the redressal of his surviving grievances, if any, including the claim of interest, in accordance with law, before the appropriate forum.
