By means of present petition, petitioner seeks to set aside the charge-sheet dated 21.11.2018, the summoning order dated 19.01.2019 passed by C.J.M., Haridwar as well as the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.682/2019 State vs. Pradeep, under Section 323 of IPC and Section 3 & 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, pending in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Haridwar. 2. In view of the fact that a Compounding Application was filed by the parties before this Court, this Court, vide order dated 25.03.2025, had directed the parties to appear before the Secretary, DLSA, Haridwar to get their statements recorded and to verify the compromise deed. 3. Pursuant to such order, Secretary, DLSA, Haridwar has submitted report dated 02.04.2025 which indicates that the parties have settled the dispute amicably and have also verified the contents of the compromise. 1 2025:UHC:2499 4. In view of the above, Compounding Application IA No.1/2025 is allowed. As a consequence thereof, charge-sheet dated 21.11.2018, summoning order dated 19.01.2019 passed by C.J.M., Haridwar and the entire proceedings of Criminal Case No.682/2019 “State vs. Pradeep”, under Section 323 of IPC and Section 3 & 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, pending in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Haridwar, is hereby quashed. 5. Accordingly, present petition is disposed of, on the basis of compromise/settlement arrived at between the parties.
