PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following ORDER: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A1, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.364 of 2024 of Naidupet Police Station, Tirupati district. 2 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offence punishable under Section 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short ‘the NDPS Act’). 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 09.12.2024, at about 06.00 hours, on receipt of credible information, the Woman Sub-Inspector of Police, Naidupet Police Station, along with her staff and mediators, conducted raid at Railway Station, Naidupet Town and Mandal and found A1 to A6 in possession of 25 Kgs of Cannabis (Ganja). The contraband was seized under cover of a mediators report and a case has been registered against the accused. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. A perusal of the material on record goes to show that 25 Kgs of Ganja was seized from the possession of the accused, which is a commercial quantity. It is submitted by the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor that the investigation is not yet completed and some more witnesses are to be examined. In 3 view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner/A1. 6.
