ORDER:
The present Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:
“…to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondents No.5 in not considering my Form-6A application vide No.MUT250926019163 dt:26-9-2025 for mutation of revenue entries in favour of the petitioner, in respect of the subject land in Sy.No.1044 to an extent of Ac.1.70 Cents situated at Racharla Village and Mandal, Prakasam Dist., without following the procedure as contemplated under Andhra Pradesh Rights in Land and Pattadar pass Books Act, 1971 and Rules 1989 as illegal, arbitrary apart from violative of principles of natural justice and consequently direct the respondent No.5 to consider and dispose of petitioner’s Form-6A application vide No.MUT250926019163 dt 26-9-2025 for mutation of revenue entries in favour of the petitioner, in respect of subject land, and to pass such other order or orders…”
2. Heard Sri M.M.M.Srinivasa Rao, learned counsel for petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue for respondents.

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that the petitioner is in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the land admeasuring Ac.1.70 cents in Sy.No.1044 at Racharla Village and Mandal, Prakasam District. The said land originally belonged to one Sripalli Mariyamma, who was the mother of petitioner’s wife. Upon her demise, petitioner’s wife succeeded to the property. Thereafter, petitioner’s wife passed away on 07.07.2019 and consequently, the petitioner succeeded to the said property. Be that as it may, the petitioner

approached the concerned authorities by submitting Form-6A application dated 26.09.2025, seeking mutation of petitioner’s name in revenue records and issuance of pattadar passbooks. However, the respondents have not considered the said application till date.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue, appearing for the respondents, has submitted that as per the provisions of the ROR Act, the authorities will consider Form-6A application submitted by the petitioner and will pass appropriate orders after giving notice to the concerned persons.

Considering the submissions made by both the learned counsel, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner’s Form-6A application dated 26.09.2025, as per the provisions of the ROR Act and pass appropriate orders within six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
