Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, Sri Vinay Kumar Singh, learned counsel for the informant and the learned A.G.A. for the State-respondents. 2. This writ petition has been filed for quashing the FIR dated 26.9.2024 giving rise to Case Crime No.198 of 2024, under Sections 147, 323, 406, 420, 452, 504, 506 IPC, Police Tiwaripur, District Gorakhpur. 3. When the first information report was lodged under Sections 147, 323, 406, 420, 452, 504, 506 IPC on 26.9.2024, which had given rise to Case Crime No.198 of 2024, the petitioner Satish Kumar Sharma brought to the notice of this Court that the matter had been mutually and amicably settled amongst the parties and the settlement had been reduced into writing on 4.12.2024. 4. This Court vide order dated 24.7.2025 had directed the Magistrate to verify the compromise. After the charge-sheet in the case was submitted, the Magistrate before whom the cognizance was to be taken looked into the compromise and thereafter on 7th August, 2025, verified the same. 5. In view of the fact that now the compromise has also been verified, we are of the considered opinion that no useful purpose would be served in keeping the matter pending and, therefore, we are of the view that the entire proceeding of Criminal Case No.34845 of 2025 (State vs. Satish Kumar Sharma) arising out of FIR dated 26.9.2024 registered as Case Crime No.198 of 2024, under Sections 147, 323, 406, 420, 452, 504, 506 IPC, Police Tiwaripur, District Gorakhpur is quashed. Consequential charge- sheet, which has been submitted by the police, is also hereby quashed. 6. Resultantly, the writ petition is allowed.
