Kaminikumar, learned CGC for respondent Nos. 1 & 2; and Mr. Niranjan Sanasam, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondent Nos. 3 & 4 through video conferencing. [2] By the present petition, the petitioner has prayed for directing the respondents to pay compensation for the collateral damages caused to his dwelling house due to the expansion of National Highway No. 2 (Imphal to Kohima) under Kangpokpi District. [3] In this regard, the petitioner has already submitted a representation dated 10-04-2023 to the Deputy Commissioner (Competent Authority for Land Acquisition), Kangpokpi. It is stated that the representation is still pending before the said authority. WP(C) No. 43 of 2025 [4] Mr. D. Julius Riamei, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the writ petition may be disposed of at this stage by passing an innocuous order directing the Deputy Commissioner (CALA), Kangpokpi to pass a speaking order in respect to the representation dated 10-04-2023 submitted by the petitioner. [5] Learned counsel for the respondents have no objection to the passing of an innocuous order. [6] Recording the submissions made at the Bar, the present writ petition is disposed of by directing the Deputy Commissioner (CALA), Kangpokpi to pass a speaking order disposing of the representation dated 10-04-2023 submitted by the petitioner. [7] With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. [8] It is made clear that this Court does not express any opinion on the merit of the case.
