In the instant C-482 application, a Compromise Application dated 11.07.2024 has been moved, which is supported with the affidavit of applicant no. 4, namely, Brijpal Singh, who is doing pairvi on behalf of other applicants and it is also supported by an affidavit of respondent no. 2. 5. In the present application preferred under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., the applicants are facing trial for the offence punishable under Sections 323, 498A, 504 IPC and 3/4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act in Case Crime No.2928 of 2014, pending in the Court of learned IIIrd Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dehradun. 6. A Compromise Application has been moved on the ground that in order to get the marriage dissolved and to take back all the criminal proceedings initiated by the respondent no.2 against the applicants, the respondent no. 2 has given her consent on receiving the permanent alimony of Rs. 43,00,000/- Lakh (Rupees Forty- three lakh). This amount has already been paid by 2025:UHC:4541 the respondent no. 4 through A/c Payee demand draft No. 03095 prepared from the Indusland Bank in favour of “Deekshika Rani”, i.e., respondent No. 2, and the Respondent No.2 has received the A/c Payee Demand Draft No. 030095 during the proceedings before the Hon’ble Daily Lok Adalat on 02.07.2024 in First Appeal no. 137/2017. 7. Looking to the facts and circumstances of the case, and further looking to the fact that the parties have arrived at a compromise, this Court is of the view that the present compromise application deserves to be allowed. 8. In view of the above, the Compounding Application is allowed. The entire proceedings of Case Crime No.2928 of 2014, pending in the Court of learned IIIrd Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Dehradun, are hereby quashed. 9. The Criminal Miscellaneous Application, filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, is disposed of accordingly. 10. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
