3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), District-South Bastar Dantewada (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 25.08.2025 has requested for grant of 15 days time for concluding the trial.
4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that in the present case, the evidence of total 11 witnesses was to be recorded. After recording the evidence of all the witnesses and marking the statement of the accused, the case was fixed for final arguments on 20/08/2025. However, as the main counsel for the accused suffered from a heart-related ailment, time was sought for final arguments. On 25/08/2025, upon submission of written final arguments on behalf of the accused, the case was fixed for
judgment on 03/09/2025. For the aforesaid reasons, it has not been possible to conclude the case within the prescribed time frame. Therefore, it is humbly prayed for grant of 15 days for concluding the same.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this
order.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
