The petitioner has filed the instant petition under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 seeking quashing of FIR No.97 dated 02.04.2023 registered under Sections 376 & 506 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 at Police Station Dera Bassi, District SAS Nagar on the basis of compromise dated 27.03.2025 arrived at between the parties. 2. On receipt of advance copy of the petition, Mr. Adhiraj Singh, A.A.G., Punjab has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No.1-State and on instructions from ASI Paul Chand, submits that the petitioner is absconding and is not on bail. 3. Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to file fresh one on the same cause of action at an appropriate stage. 4.
