Heard Mr. M. Hemchandra, learned senior counsel assisted by Mr. Juno Rahman, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A. for the State respondent. [2]
By the present petition, the petitioner approaches this Court with the following reliefs:
“i. To admit the present writ petition. ii. To issue rule nisi calling upon the respondents to show cause as to why prayer made by the petitioner shall not be granted in the facts and circumstances of the present writ petition. iii. To issue a writ in the nature of mandamus/certiorari or any other appropriate writ/order/direction directing the respondents to provide adequate armed security guards of full section strength for the protection and security of the humble petitioner, in the
facts and circumstances of the present writ petition. iv. To issue a writ in the nature of mandamus/certiorari or any other appropriate writ/order/direction to consider and dispose of the representation dated 29.10.2024 (at Annexure- A/10) and representation dated 03.12.2024 (at
Annexure-A/14) in the light of the report dated 14.10.2024 (at Annexure-A/11), report dated 17.12.2024 (at Annexure-A/13 (Colly) along with connected FIRs by issuing reason and speaking
order favourably within a stipulated period of time, in the facts and circumstances of the present writ petition. v. If any cause is shown or insufficient cause is shown, to make the rule absolute. Vi. To call for the relevant records. Vii. To pass any order/direction which the Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the present writ petition.”

It is stated that the petitioner has submitted a representations dated 08.10.2024 to the Director General of Police, Manipur, 29.10.2024 to the Hon’ble Governor, Manipur and lastly, 03.12.2024 to the Director General of Police, Government of Manipur for providing security personnel as he has faced threats from various armed groups. Due to certain threats, FIRs have been registered against the unknown miscreants. [4]
Learned counsel for the petitioner draws the attention of this Court to the enquiry report dated 17.12.2024 submitted by the Enquiry Officer, Porompat PS to the Officer-in-Charge, Porompat PS to the extent that the petitioner was upducted by some unknown miscreants on 30.09.2024. [5]
Mr. M. Hemchandra, learned senior counsel, submits that the writ petitions are still pending and submits that it will be sufficed if a direction is construed to the DGP for disposal of the last representation dated 03.12.2024 as expeditiously as possible. [6]
Mr. S. Niranjan, learned G.A. for the State respondent, has no objection.

Recording the submissions made at the bar, writ petition is disposed of at this stage by directing respondent No. 3 (i.e. Director General of Police) to consider the representations submitted by the petitioner in terms of their procession as explained in the writ petition as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. [8]
Furnish a copy of this order to the learned counsel appearing for all the parties.
