GP FOR REVENUE The Court made the following: 3 ORDER: The present Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief: “…to pass an order, writ or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus directing the Respondents 2 and 3 to consider my representation and issue the Family Member Certificate dated 04.09.2025 in the interests of justice and pass such other order or orders ….” 2. The petitioner herein made a representation dated 04.09.2025 to the 3rd respondent to issue family member certificate on the death of elder son of the petitioner on the ground that his son left the petitioner with some financial responsibilities that are to be carried out for which a legal heir certificate is required. As there is no response from the 3rd respondent, the present Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation and pass appropriate orders. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would submit that the petitioner has to file an application through Mee-seva to obtain family member certificate and the petitioner has filed a representation. 4. At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that due to technical issues, the petitioner is unable to file application through Mee-seva for issuance of legal heir certificate. 5. However, without going into the merits of the case, the present Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the petitioner to file an application through Mee-seva/application for issuance of family member certificate 4 and, on filing such application, the respondent authorities are directed to examine the same and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of the application from the petitioner. 6. Accordingly, the writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
