In the event, the petitioner or any other accused surrenders, the Investigating Agency is supposed to follow the law of the land and safeguard provided to the accused under the Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 and as per the dictum of the Hon'ble Supreme Court rendered in cases of Arnesh Kumar v. State of Bihar reported in (2014)8 SCC 273 as well as D K Basu Vs. State of West Bengal, reported in (1997) 1 SCC 416. Permission as prayed for is granted.
