GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... to issue an appropriate order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus declaring the action of Respondents No- 2 and 3 in not conducting investigation and not filing final report in pursuance of registration of FIR No- 20/2024 dated 01/02/2024 under sections 420,465,467,468,471,474,120 B R/W sec 34 of IPC against the Respondents No- 4 and 5 as illegal, arbitrary and violation of 2 principles of natural justice and violation of article 14 and 21 of constitution of India and consequently direct the Respondents No- 2 and 3 to complete investigation and file final report in the above FIR within the time stipulated by this Honble court in the interest of justice” 2. Heard Sri CH.B.R.P.Sekhar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a direction may be given to the respondent/police to conclude the investigation in Crime No.20 of 2024 and file a final report. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that the investigation is pending in the present crime and the Court may pass appropriate orders. 5. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, Police are directed to conclude the investigation in the above crime and file a report in accordance with law, preferably within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
