The Writ Petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the Respondents in not considering the case of the Petitioners for promotion to the post of Sub Inspectors, Prohibition & Excise, from the feeder cadre of Head Constables, Prohition and Excise, against the roster points i.e., ST-W and SC-W. 2. The Petitioners were initially appointed as Police Constables and thereafter they were promoted to Head Constables and are due for promotion to the post of Sub Inspector, Prohibition and Excise. Vide Proceedings dated 28.08.2025 issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Prohibition and Excise, Kurnool, the Petitioners were named as the persons eligible for promotion/appointment by transfer to the post of Sub Inspector, Prohibition and Excise, and the Controlloing Officers were instructed to relieve the Petitiners along with others. The Petitioners were further requested to attend the O.P. at Government Regional Eye Hospital, Kurnool, for visual standards. Pursuant thereto, the medical examination of the Petitioners was conducted. However, no orders have been issued 3 for promotion/appointment by transfer to the Petitioners. The Petitioners had given a Representation dated 24.09.2025 individually, and the Director of Prohibition and Excise also forwarded the same to the Respondent No.3/ Commissioner, Prohibition and Excise, Andhra Pradesh, for appropriate instructions. As no further steps were taken on the representation forwarded to the Respondent No.3, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader on instructions submits that appropriate decision will be taken on the representation forwarded to the Respondent No.3. 4. Heard the respective counsel. 5. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of with the following directions: i) Respondent No.3 is directed to examine the representation of the Petitioner dated 24.09.2025 in terms of the rules and issue appropriate instructions to the concerned as expeditiously as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. 4 ii) There shall be no order as to costs.
