G.O.No.04014/1/2012-Salt (SO No. 2301) dated 09/10/2013 in regard to NON RENEWAL OF LEASES issued by the 1st Respondent as illegal, arbitrary and unjust in so far as it relates to renewal of leases and enhancement of assignment fees, ground rent and security deposit etc., and quash the same and consequently direct the Respondents to continue the lease of the Petitioner on such conditions as may be agreed upon by the Petitioner without insisting payment of differential amount of assignment fee, ground rent etc., in the interest of justice and pass IA NO: 1 OF 2018 Petition under Section 151 CPC praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the High Court may be pleased to grant stay of operation of letter No. 04014/1/2012/Salt, dated 09-10-2013in regard to enhancement of Assignment Fee and Ground Rent etc., and G.O. When the matter is taken up for hearing, Sri K. Subrahmanyam, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the lease period expired on 30.09.2018 and the same is not extended in favour of the petitioner and as such the cause in the Writ Petition does not survive for adjudication. Recording the aforesaid submission, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs.
