Siddeswaraswamy S B., learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Smt. Renuka H.R., learned counsel appearing for the respondents in both cases. 2. These petitions are filed by the petitioners- employees seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pay interest at the rate of 12% p.a. for the delayed payment of leave encashment benefits, by considering the representations at Annexures B-1 to B-4 in W.P. No.22319/2025 and Annexures B-1 to B-5 in W.P. No.21889/2025. 3. During the pendency of these petitions, the petitioners and the respondents have amicably settled the dispute. The respondents have agreed to pay interest at the rate of 6% p.a., as interest for the delayed payment of leave encashment benefits to the petitioners and the petitioners, who are represented by the learned counsel have agreed voluntarily to accept the interest at the rate of 6% p.a. for the delayed payment of leave encashment benefits. 4. The joint memo, as described in Sl.Nos.1 to 4 of W.P. No.22319/2025 and Sl.Nos.1 to 5 of W.P. In view of the joint memo filed by the learned counsel for both the petitioners and the respondents, and as the parties have agreed to settle the matter amicably in accordance with the said joint memo and the amount stated therein, the writ petitions deserve to be disposed of in accordance with the joint memo filed by both parties. 7. Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of. 8. The amount of petitioners' entitlement of leave encashment is mentioned under the head 'amount' and the period for which the petitioners' are entitled is stated as 'from and till' the period mentioned hereinabove. The petitioners' shall be entitled to interest on the delayed period at the rate of 6% p.a. 10.
