Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Assistant Government Pleader for the official respondents and Sri G.L.Narasimha Reddy, learned counsel for the unofficial respondent Nos. 6 and 7. 2. This writ petition for Habeas Corpus is filed seeking a direction to respondent Nos.1 to 5 police officials to produce the person by name Jujjavarapu Rahul Kumar, aged about 34 years, who is alleged to be in illegal detention of respondent Nos.6 and 7 and to give his custody to the petitioner. 3.
A person by name Jujjavarapu Rahul Kumar, (hereinafter referred to as
“the corpus”) is the son of the petitioner. He is the husband of respondent No.6. On account of disputes cropped up between the corpus and his wife / respondent No.6, they are living separately. While so, it is stated that on 30.09.2025, respondent No.7 who is the father of respondent No.6 came to the house of the petitioner along with his relatives and warned the corpus. The corpus because of mental agony to which he was subjected on account of the said ill-treatment of respondent No.6 and his relatives, has left the house on 03.10.2025 without informing the petitioner. Even though the petitioner and

other relatives tried to trace the corpus, they could not trace him. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a report with the police. Although the police have initiated inquiry regarding the said missing person, who is the corpus herein, they failed to trace the corpus. Alleging that the police did not trace the corpus, who is missing, the present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking the aforesaid relief. 4. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing after the unofficial respondent Nos.6 and 7 entered their appearance in this writ petition, learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the respondents police officials submits on instructions that the corpus was traced in Bangaluru. It is further submitted that the corpus is a major and that, when the police contacted him, he refused to come back to his house and he has also sent a message through video refusing to come to his house. It is stated that the same was informed to the petitioner. The learned Assistant Government Pleader has produced the written instructions to that effect before the Court, which are taken on record. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner now submits that the corpus has come back to the house of the petitioner on 13.12.2025 and is presently staying with the petitioner. 5
6.
In that view of the matter, nothing survives in this writ petition for adjudication. 7. Recording the aforesaid submissions of both the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is closed. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, Interlocutory Applications pending, if any, shall stand closed. ________________________________________ JUSTICE CHEEKATI MANAVENDRANATH ROY
