B.A. No. 1856 of 2025
Sunil Kumar Singh @ Banti, aged about 35 years, son of Tunu Singh, resident of Arsande, Shiv Mandir Gali, P.O. & P.S.- Kanke, Dist.- Ranchi.
… Petitioner
- Versus - The State of Jharkhand
… Opp. Party
------ CORAM: - HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE AMBUJ NATH
----- For the Petitioner : Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Advocate For the State
: Mr. Pankaj Kr. Mishra, A.P.P.
--- 02/07.03.2025
Heard the parties.
The petitioner has been made accused in connection with N.D.P.S. Case No.01 of 2025, arising out of Kanke P.S. Case No. 309 of 2024, for the offences registered under Section 20(b)(ii)(B) of the N.D.P.S. Act and Section 25(1-B)a, 26, 35 of the Arms Act, pending in the Court of learned Special Judge (NDPS), Ranchi. On 27.10.2024, 2.300 Kgs. of cannabis and country made pistol and three live cartridges were recovered from the house of the petitioner. Learned A.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that petitioner is accused in another case of year 2009.
Considering the nature of allegation and the fact that petitioner has got criminal antecedent, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, his prayer for bail stands rejected at this stage. The petitioner, if so advised, may renew his prayer for bail after six months.
