OMP No. 753 of 2026 The instant application has been filed for the release of compensation amount. It is contended in the application that the applicant/ respondent No.1 has spent the entire compensation amount initially received, and since the land owned by the present applicant/respondent No. 1 was acquired for the construction/ widening of the National Highway, no enhanced compensation has been paid to him till date. Learned counsel for the non-applicant submits that the reply to the application stands filed in the Registry of this Court. In view of the averments made in the application, which is duly supported by an affidavit, and in view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the applicant/ respondent No.1, it is ordered that 50% of the total enhanced amount of compensation lying deposited in the Registry of this Court, along with up-to-date interest, be released by remitting the same into the savings bank account of applicant/respondent No. 1, as mentioned in paragraph 2 of the application.
