Pradeep For Respondent(s): Mr.K.Raja, S.C., ORDER The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to disburse interest at the rate of 6% p.a. towards belated payment of provident fund, leave surrender and the unsettled benefits of last 6 days salary. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he was working as a conductor from 22.05.1987. Though he was retired from service on 30.04.2018 on attaining the age of superannuation as Selection Grade Senior Conductor, the retirement benefits were settled only on 22.09.2019 and no interest has been paid for the delayed period. Therefore, for the interregnum, he is entitled for interest. 3. It is the further submission of the petitioner that apart from the settlement of the above terminal benefits, still the respondents has to settle last 6 days salary of the petitioner. 4. The learned counsel for the respondents would submit that they would consider the representation within a reasonable time . 5. In view of the same, without going into the merits of the writ petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.03.2025, and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, on merits and in accordance with law. 6.
With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of.
