Court No. 6 (265719) 24.10.2025 (AD 13) (S. Banerjee) CO 3701 of 2025 Heroes Engineering Works Private Limited Vs. M/s. Steelcon Fabricators Mr. Uttam Kumar De Ms. Writi De Ms. Riya De …for the petitioner This application under 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the plaintiff praying for a direction upon the learned Civil Judge (Jr. Division), Bidhannagar to dispose of the Ejectment Suit No. 44 of 2016 expeditiously. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that though the opposite party entered appearance in the said suit sometime in the year 2018, the application under Section 7(1) and 7(2) of the West Bengal Premises Tenancy Act, 1997 was filed only in the month of September, 2025. In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to direct issuance of any notice upon the opposite party. However, the learned advocate-on-record of the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application along with this order, upon the opposite party or upon the learned advocate representing the opposite party before the learned trial judge. From the order-sheets appended to this application this court finds that November 26, 2025 is fixed for hearing of the applications under Sections 7(1) and 7(2) of the 1997 Act and for filing written objection in the meantime. In the event the written objection is filed in the meantime, the learned trial judge is requested to take up the hearing of the applications under Section 7(1) and 7(2) of the 1997 Act on the next date fixed, i.e., on November 26, 2025 and to make an endeavour to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. After disposal of the said applications and any other interlocutory application that may be pending, the learned Civil Judge (Jr. Division), Bidhannagar is requested to make an endeavour to dispose of the Ejectment Suit No. 44 of 2016 as expeditiously as possible, preferably by the end of the month of August, 2025, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
