Learned counsel for the petitioner at the very out set submits that this writ petition was filed for payment of gratuity which was not paid even after superannuation of the petitioner. He further submits that on 28.01.2025, when order was passed by this Court, the respondents immediately released the amount of gratuity in favour of the petitioner. 3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the University submits that there was delay in making of payment because some recovery has to be made which was paid in excess long back. 4. Be that as it may, since an amount of gratuity was paid much after the petitioner’s superannuation and the petitioner has 2025:JHHC:26668 2 approached this Court, I direct the Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University to pay interest at the rate of 7% per annum from the date of retirement of this petitioner till the actual payment of gratuity. 5.
