GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... to issue a Writ, order or direction more particularly in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents more particularly Respondent No.4 has laid charge sheet in Crime No.647/2025 on the file of the Nallapadu Police Station, Guntur without conducting proper investigation and without conducting post mortem examination over the dead body of the deceased and without considering the petitioners complaint as illegal, arbitrary and violation of Article 21 and consequently direct the respondents to investigate the case properly and to conduct post mortem examination” 2 2. Heard K.Souri Babu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a direction may be issued to conduct an appropriate investigation, taking into consideration the grievance of the petitioner. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that, as per the discharge summary from the hospital at Guntur, the petitioner died due to jaundice. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would further submit that no information was given to the hospital regarding any crime having been registered at the time of the petitioner’s admission. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner, who is the father of the deceased, suspects the involvement of the family members of one Sania, with whom the deceased was in love. 6. Considering the submissions made and since the investigation is pending before the police, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the respondent-police are directed to look into the grievance of the petitioner, proceed with the investigation, and examine the case in the light of the facts stated by the petitioner in order to rule out any suspicion. The police are further directed to take all appropriate steps in accordance with law and conclude the investigation as expeditiously as possible. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the police and furnish any further information available with him to the investigating officer to assist in ascertaining the truth in this case. There shall be no order as to costs.
