P. -------- 03/ Dated 30.07.2025 Heard the parties. The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Maranghada P.S. Case No. 14 of 2023, N.D.P.S. Case No.36(A) of 2023, for the offence registered under Sections 15(c), 22 & 25 of NDPS Act, pending in the court of Sri Rakesh Kumar Mishra, learned District & Additional Sessions Judge- II, Khunti. Maranghada Police intercepted two pick-up vans and on search, 2,374 kgs of poppy husk were recovered from the said vehicles. It was submitted that petitioner was not arrested at the spot. It was further submitted that nothing incriminating was recovered from the possession of the petitioner. Learned Spl.P.P on behalf of the State has submitted that the motorcycle of the petitioner was seized at the place of occurrence. It appears that petitioner is in custody since 30.08.2024. Considering the period of custody, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of Sri Rakesh Kumar Mishra, learned District & Additional Sessions Judge-II, Khunti, in connection with Maranghada P.S.
