GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... a Writ of Mandamus declare the action of respondents, particularly the action of the respondents No.4 and 5 herein summoning the petitioner orally to attend Police Station without assigning any valid reason and/or without there being any complaint against him as bad, illegal, arbitrary, unjust, 2 improper, colourable exercise of power, contrary to law and unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondents not to harass the petitioner.” 2. Sri Shaik Sardam Hussain, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that a direction may be given to the Police not to call the Petitioner to the Police Station. 3. Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, would submit that based on the complaint lodged by one Koppuravuri Babu Rao, the Petitioner was called to the Police Station for enquiry and no case has been registered against the Petitioner. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, Police are directed not to call the Petitioner to the Police Station without there being any crime registered against him. There shall be no order as to costs.
