The petitioner has preferred the present petition with the following prayers:- "(a). issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari to quash the impugned order dated 23.07.2010 passed by respondent No.3 Assistant Development Officer (P) and report dated 18.01.2025 prepared and sent by respondent No.4 (contained as Annexure No.1 and 2 to this writ petition)." 2. Today when the matter is taken up, a preliminary objection has been raised by learned Standing Counsel that against the aforesaid order, statutory alternative remedy is available to the petitioner to file appeal before the Sub Divisional Magistrate as per Rule 6-A of Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj (Maintenance of Family Registers) Rules, 1970 3. In this view of the matter, the present petition is dismissed on the ground of statutory alternative remedy.
