The present Contempt Case is filed alleging non-implementation of the order dated 18.02.2020 passed in W.P.No.18131 of 2019. A learned Judge of this Court disposed of the said writ petition with a direction to the respondent No.1 to consider the proposals sent by the second respondent in the writ petition and dispose of the matter within a period of three (3) weeks. Though the learned counsel for the petitioner sought to advance arguments with reference to the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of the Contempt Case, on a perusal of the counter-affidavit filed by the respondent No.1, it is clear that pursuant to the orders referred to above, the 1st respondent has examined the matter and vide Memo No.982/Agri.I(2)/2018 dated 12.07.2021, rejected the request of the petitioner for promotion as Deputy Director of Agriculture. Though, it appears that there is some delay in passing the orders within the stipulated time, the same cannot be treated as willful disobedience. In the aforesaid view of the matter, the Contempt Case is closed. No order as to costs.
