In this writ petition, the petitioner has sought for following relief/s: “i. Issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to regularize the service of the petitioner as a driver in the 2nd respondent board; ii. In the alternative direct the 2nd respodnnet to consider Annexure-L dated 25.10.2013, Annexure-M dated 4.7.2015 and Annexure-N dated 28.07.2016 representations given by the petitioner and to pass the order within a specified period; iii. Issue any other writ, order or direction as this Hon’ble Court deems fit in the circumstances of the case.” 2. The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as a driver by respondent No.2-Board on a contract basis in the year 2006, and he continued to work on a contract - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:32827 WP No. 3892 of 2022 basis till 2008. In the year 2009, he was considered as a casual labourer and has been continuously working in the same capacity till date. During his service, he was posted in Bengaluru and used to travel out of station across the state and also to neighbouring states. He has rendered his service continuously for a period of 15 years without any blemish. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted representations dated 25.10.2013, 04.07.2015 and 28.07.2016, vide Annexures-L, M, and N respectively, seeking regularization of his service. Since the representations have not been considered, the petitioner has approached this Court by way of this writ petition. 3. Learned counsel for the respondent-Board has submitted that the petitioner was appointed on an outsource basis and the representations submitted by the petitioners for regularization as per Annexures-L, M, and N, will be considered, in accordance with law. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:32827 WP No. 3892 of 2022 4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of. 5. Respondent No.2 is directed to consider the representations vide Annexures-L, M & N dated 25.10.2013, 04.07.2015 and 28.07.2016, respectively, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, not later than three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
