HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:36122 WP No. 11054 of 2017 ORAL ORDER The action was initiated against the petitioner by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (for short, 'the BBMP') for putting up an illegal construction on his property. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition is filed.

In the course of the proceedings, it is submitted by both the learned counsels for the petitioner as well as the respondents-BBMP that the joint inspection was conducted in respect of the property and it was indeed found that there were illegal construction put up by the petitioner and the petitioner has been directed to remove the illegal construction.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the illegal construction has since been removed.

Learned counsel for the respondents-BBMP submits that they are yet to verify whether all the illegal constructions have in fact been removed or not. He further submits that the property of the petitioner will be

HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:36122 WP No. 11054 of 2017 inspected and if it is found that the illegal construction has indeed been removed as contended by the petitioner, then if the petitioner were to make a necessary representation in accordance with law, his request for regularization of the construction put up in accordance with law will be considered.
5. He further submits that if the petitioner has not removed the illegal construction, then in that event, the appropriate action will be initiated to demolish the illegal construction. His submission is placed on record.
6. The Writ Petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents-BBMP to take the action initiated against the petitioner to its logical conclusion in accordance with law.
