I have considered the materials on record. On 8th December 2022 petitioner married opposite party no. 2. One month after marriage she was subjected to physical and mental torture. When she became pregnant, petitioner had assaulted her, kicked her in the stomach. She took refuge at her parental home. When she brought the matter for mediation, petitioner and other in-laws assaulted her. 2. Learned lawyer for the petitioner submits some of the in-laws have been discharged in the case. Uncontroverted allegations in the impugned charge sheet is primarily directed against the petitioner- husband. It is alleged petitioner subjected opposite party no. 2 to torture and even kicked her in the stomach when she was pregnant. 3. In light of the aforesaid materials on record I am of the opinion ingredients of the alleged offences under section 498A/406 IPC are disclosed and the proceeding does not call for interference at this stage. 4. Petitioner is at liberty to agitate his grievances at the appropriate stage of the proceeding in accordance with law 5. With these observations petition is disposed of. (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
