Vashum, learned G.A., appearing for the respondents. As directed earlier by this Court, the learned G.A. placed before this Court an order dated 28.01.2025 issued by the Deputy Secretary(Power), Government of Manipur, appointing 4(four) persons as Lineman on promotion pursuant to the recommendation made by the Departmental Promotion Committee in its meeting held on 18.10.2024. In paragraph 2 of the said order, it is also mentioned that the remaining Assistant Lineman altogether numbering 204 Assistant Lineman who have been recommended by the said DPC shall be appointed to the post of Lineman by promotion as and when the deputation placement of the concerned employees is finalized in either of the MSPCL & MSPDCL. Mr. Th. Vashum, learned G.A. appearing for the respondents, submitted that in view of the said order, the present writ petition can be disposed of. In view of the submission made above and taking into consideration the order dated 28.01.2025 issued by the Deputy Secretary (Power), Government of Manipur, which is marked as X1 for identification, the present writ petition is hereby disposed of by directing the respondents to expedite the process of promotion of the remaining Assistant Lineman and complete the same as early as possible.
