The crime was registered under Section 174 of Cr.P.C. The allegation is that on 6.10.2017 at 12.00 hours, the husband of the petitioner namely Selvan had sustained injuries by overturning a tractor driven by him and later succumbed to the injuries on 12.10.2017. After investigation, Ext.P1 final report was filed confirming the death of Selvan as due to accident occurred during driving a tractor. The grievance of the petitioner is that nowhere in the final report the registration number of the tractor involved in the accident which led to the death of Selvan was mentioned. It is in these circumstances, the petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking further investigation or to give a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to take necessary steps to incorporate the vehicle number in the final report. 2. I have heard Sri. V.A. Johnson, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Smt. C. Seena, the learned Public Prosecutor. 3. The learned Prosecutor on instructions W.P.(Crl).No.288/2025 3 2025:KER:28606 submits that the investigation has already been reopened under Section 193(9) of the BNSS, 2023 and the investigation is now going on. The learned Prosecutor submitted that the grievance of the petitioner that the vehicle number is not mentioned in the final report will be taken care of in the re- investigation. The writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the investigating officer to complete the investigation and file a report addressing the grievance of the petitioner. Sd/- DR.
