Learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that the petitioner was sought to be reverted, which reversion was challenged in the petition and the reversion was stayed by this Court and ultimately, the petitioner had retired hence, as the petitioner had already retired from the promoted post, the present petition may kindly be disposed of as having been rendered infructuous. 6. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the reversion order was pending consideration hence, the said issue needs to be decided. 7. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the records of the present case with his able assistance. 8. In the present petition, the challenge was to the order of reversion dated 27.02.2003 (Annexure P-5) by which, the petitioner was reverted from the post of Superintendent Grade-II (General) to Senior Assistant. The said order was stayed vide order dated 10.03.2003 and the petitioner continued working on the post of Superintendent Grade-II and has already retired from service on 30.11.2009 i.e.16 years ago. 9. Keeping in view the fact that the petitioner is a retired employee as of now for more than 1 ½ decade, the respondents are directed not to give effect to the impugned order dated 27.02.2003 (Annexure P-5) any further. 10. Petition is accordingly disposed of. 11.
